- Inspect intake boot for cracks, especially near throttle body clamps
- Remove and clean throttle body with throttle body cleaner — do NOT use carburetor cleaner on MAF
- Perform throttle body relearn procedure after cleaning (many GM/Toyota models require it)
- Test IAC valve resistance (spec: 10–14 Ω typical); replace if out of spec
